Definitions

The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form

Makeup Artist: Shanie Wright

The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the makeup artist for the agreed fee

The fee: The amount payable by the client to the makeup artist for the services listed

The event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event (i.e. the wedding) takes place

The party: Additional members of the bridal party

  1. Securing your booking

Wedding bookings

Wedding bookings require a £50 non-refundable booking fee to secure the date. This is fully redeemable from the total  wedding day makeup balance.

Please note that no date is secure in the makeup artists diary without a booking fee. If the client does delay paying the booking fee, the date may have been filled and the client will need to re-check the makeup artists availability.

Other bookings:

All other bookings, excluding weddings, require a £15 non-refundable booking fee to secure the date. This is fully redeemable from the total cost.

2. Trials

Trials are non-obligatory but are recommended. Trials are held at the makeup artists home in Hertford during daylight hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays. There may be flexibility with weekend appointments however they are the makeup artists busiest days during wedding season and are subject to availability.

The trial fee (if a trial is carried out) is due on the clients trial date.

3. Responsibility of the client

The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the clients failure to inform the makeup artist of any known condition.

The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.

4. Cancellations

In the instance that the clients wedding is cancelled, the booking fee and trial fee (if a trial has been carried out) will not be refunded.

The clients remaining balance is due four weeks before the wedding date. If the clients wedding is cancelled or the client cancels the makeup artists services within this time, the full balance is still due.

If the client wishes to cancel or reschedule their trial, the makeup artist requires no less than 4 weeks notice otherwise full payment will be due to cover the cost of the makeup artist not being able to fill the clients scheduled slot.

Please note that for occasion makeups, 2 weeks’ notice is required. If the client fails to notify the makeup artist after this time, the full balance will be required.

Bridal Booking

Once the client has paid the final balance and bridal party numbers have been confirmed, any changes will not be refunded. If the client wishes to add on other members of the bridal party for makeup, this will be subject to the makeup artists availability.

5. Photography

The client agrees that the makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artist’s website and social media pages. Any objections should be made in writing to shanie.wright@hotmail.co.uk

6. Travel Expenses

The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at time of booking.

This is to include, should it be required, congestion charging and parking charges.

Mileage is charged at a rate of £0.50 per mile.

If the location of the clients wedding is over 2 hours from the makeup artists home, the client is required to cover costs for a hotel or air bnb for 1 night.

7. Insurance

Shanie Wright makeup is covered by Professional Beauty Direct with a public, products and treatment liability of up to £6,000,000.
